If you are thinking of taking a home loan then there is good news for you. Housing Finance Company HDFC has announced a reduction in interest rates on home loans by 0.10 percent. A statement issued by HDFC said that customers will have to pay 8.60 percent interest on a home loan up to Rs 30 lakh. For loans up to Rs 30 lakh to Rs 75 lakh, interest will be 8.85 percent. Loans exceeding Rs. 75 lakhs will be charged from consumers at 8.90% respectively.
Good news for women customers
The good thing is that the benefit of reduction of interest rate will be available to new customers as well as old customers. If you are a female customer then you can get a home loan of up to Rs 30 lakh at an interest rate of 8.55 percent from HDFC. Likewise, home loan up to 30 lakh to 75 lakh will be 8.80 percent interest.
UBI has also cut
Recently, Union Bank of India has cut the marginal cost of fund-based lending rates by 0.20 percent in the MCLR on different term loans. After this, taking home or auto loan will be cheaper. The bank has said that the one-year MCLR has been reduced from 8.55 to 8.50%. Similarly, MCLR of one month has been increased from 8.30 to 8.10 percent. Talking of three months and six months, the MCLR has been cut by 0.10 percent.
