What are the steps for conducting a project?

For conducting a project with a foolproof project plan there are basically six steps:

Step 1: Identify the project and meet with the stakeholders.

A stakeholder is someone who is affected by the results of the project plan. Which includes the customers and the end-users. Do not forget to identify every stakeholder and keep their interests rate in mind at the time of the project plan.

Step 2: Set and prioritize the goals for the project.

Once having the list of stakeholder, prioritize them and set specific project goals.

Step 3: Define the deliverables of the project

Identify the deliverables and the project planning steps required to meet the project's goals.

Step 4: Create the project schedule

Check each of the deliverables and define the series of tasks. Each task determines the amount of time which it will take.

Step 5: Identify the issues for the project and complete a risk assessment

Not any project is risk-free. While at the time of developing a project plan, we should know how to manage the risk in a project and consider the steps which should take to either prevent certain with risks from happening or limit their negative impact.

Step 6: Present the project plan to stakeholders

Now, at the last step, we have to explain how our plan addresses the stakeholders expectations, and present the solutions to any conflicts. Make sure your presentation isn't one-sided. Have an open discussion with stakeholders instead.
