Article on Lord Mahatma Buddha:
The name of the childhood of Mahatma Buddha was Siddhartha. They are also known as Gautam Buddha. He was born about two and a half thousand years ago in the house of king Shrudodhan of Kapilavastu. His mother's name was Mahamaya. Maharani Mahamaya ascended seven days after the birth of a son. Mata's sister Gautami raised the child. Since the birth of this child, the desire to obtain the son of Maharaj Shrodan was fulfilled, hence the name of the child was named Siddhartha. Gautam's name was due to their tribe.
Seeing the birth certificate of Siddharth, Raj Astrologer had predicted that the child would become either a Chakravarti king or become a great saint after austerity. Due to becoming a saint, the father was worried. He arranged for the boy's amusement in the palace.
Siddhartha was of compassion and serious nature since childhood. Even when grown, their tendency has not changed. Then the father married him with a beautiful girl named Yashodhara. Yashodhara gave birth to a son named Rahul. But Siddhartha's heart does not stay in the house. One day and went out for the trip. On the way, the patient looked aged and the dead, the truth of life was revealed. Thinking that this is the speed of man, they feel restless. Then, in one night, when all the people were asleep in the palace, Siddhartha secretly got up and left the forest and the children and the forest to sleep.
He started harsh penance in the forest. With his penance, his body became weak but his heart was not in peace. Then he chose the middle path, leaving strict penance. In the end, they reached a place called Bihar's Gaya and sat down meditating under a tree. One day he received the knowledge. They became 'Buddha' from Siddhartha. The tree has become famous as the 'Bodhi tree'.
After enlightenment, Buddha reached Sarnath. In Sarnath, he gave his first preaching to the disciples. This sequence of exhortation continued for a lifetime. For this, he traveled the country. Once he went to Kapilvastu, where his wife Yashodhara gave his son as a beggar. Gautam Buddha Nirvana was attained at the age of eighty.
Buddha's teachings had a profound influence on people. Many kings and common citizens became followers of Buddha. Their followers are called Buddhists. Buddhism received the shelter of kings like Ashoka, Kanishka, and Harsh. These kings spread Buddhism to countries like Sri Lanka, Burma, Sumatra, Java, China, Japan, Tibet, etc.
The teachings of Mahatma Buddha were straightforward. He said that the world is full of sorrows. The cause of grief is desire or craving. By abandoning desires, man gets rid of sorrows. He told people that man's craving vanishes with a complete vision, contemplation, contemplation, speech, good conduct, truth-loving, true-thinking, and true meditation, and he remains happy. The teachings of Lord Buddha are very relevant even today.
