Hello friends, today I am going to write a post for you to let you know, how to transfer a full backup from one cPanel to another cPanel?

What is cPanel?


cPanel is a software tool that is used to manage the hosting of websites on Apache and MySQL server. cPanel is basically for PHP web hosting. Simply, you can say that cPanel is a Control Panel that is used to manage the PHP web hosting.


Now, follows the following steps to transfer the full backup from one cPanel to another cPanel:


1) First Login to your cPanel account, and click on the "Backup Wizard" option in the "FILES" section.

2) Now, you are in the "Backup Wizard" section, here you have to click on the "Back Up" button to continue.

3) Now, you are in the "Full or Partial Backup" tab here click on the "Full Backup" button.

4) Click on the "Backup Destination" dropdown and select the "Remote FTP Server" from the dropdown.

 5) Now, fill all the necessary details and press on the "Generate Backup" button to create the full backup of your current server i.e, to transfer the full backup from one cPanel to another cPanel.

Note: When your full backup is ready and transfer you will get a confirmation email. If you don't want the confirmation email then click on the radio button which is shown in the following screenshot.

In most of the case, the Port Numer is 21. The chance of the 21 Port Number is approx 99%. And, the "Remote Dir" is an optional field, if you don't understand leave it.
