Now, start our today discussion step by step i.e, how to install OpenCart on the live server?
Step 1: Login to your cPanel, using your own credentials.
Step 2: In your cPanel Under the "FILES" section, click on the "File Manager".
Step 3: Under the "File Manager", click on the "public_html" folder or directory. That is, the root directory of your hosting if you have an addon domain and want to install the OpenCart there, go to that root folder or directory.
Step 4: On your root directory click on the "Upload" option on the top menu.
Step 5: Click on the "Select File" button for uploading the OpenCart zip file else drag and drop the .zip file.
Step 6: Choose the OpenCart zip file and double click on it.
Step 7: Wait till complete uploading the zip file, after completion click on the "Go Back ..." link
Note: Delete the extra files or folders if not needed. Here, I will delete the index.html file because I don't need it here. I create this index.html file in the post: How to host my freenom domain or .tk domain with my cPanel?
Step 8: Extract the OpenCart zip file by right-clicking on the uploaded file and then click on the "Extract" option.
Step 9: Now, delete all the extracted file except "upload" folder.
Step 10: Go to the "upload" folder and move all the files and folders to your root directory, i.e, here my root directory is /public_html/crazyshoping.tk/
After clicking on the "move" option you will get this type of popup, erase the upload, like /public_html/crazyshoping.tk/upload to /public_html/crazyshoping.tk/ then click on the "Move File(s)" to move your all files and folders to your root directory.
Step 11: Rename the files config-dist.php to config.php and admin/config-dist.php to config.php.
Step 12: Now, browse your domain name into your browser.
You will see this page after browsing, click on the "CONTINUE" button to continue your installation process.
Step 13: Check the "Status" column, all must be checked and "Writable". If it's correct click on the "CONTINUE" button.
Step 14: Here, fill all the required data, i.e, Username, Password, Database, etc. and again click the "CONTINUE" button.
Check the link below if you don't know how to create a database and username in the cPanel.

Step 15: Now, you will able to see this page with a warning message of "Don't forget to delete your installation directory!", i.e, you have to delete the "install" folder from the root directory.
Step 16: Delete the "install" as well as "upload" folders and rename the ".htaccess.txt" file to ".htaccess".
Note: If you aren't able to see the ".htaccess.txt" file, make sure to show your hidden file form the cPanel setting and grab it form the upload folder before deleting it.
Step 17: Now, go to your OpenCart store admin panel by the link yoursitename.com/admin, here in my case the admin link is crazyshoping.tk/admin.
Use the authentication credentials you make at Step 14.
After, successfully login you will see an alert of "Important Security Notification!". Simply, you have to click on the "Move" red button to fix this issue. If you want to change the name from "storage" to someone else you can.
Wait for until you get the message "Success: You have modified the storage folder!", click on the upper cross (x) sign to enter into your OpenCart admin panel.
Note: You can also do them manually by clicking on the dropdown.
Congrats!!! you successfully install OpenCart on your server.
