How do you configure a domain and a subdomain on VPS using Nginx and Tomcat Server?

Here is the configuration file to create a subdomain on VPS using Nginx and Tomcat Servicer. I am using Ubuntu OS on the VPS.

Nginx Proxy Configuration For Domain Name example.in:

root@vps123:~# sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/example.in

server {

    listen 80;

    server_name example.in www.example.in;

    location / {

        proxy_pass http://localhost:8080;

        proxy_set_header Host $host;

        proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;

        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;

        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme;

    }

    # Add other configurations as needed

}

Nginx Proxy Configuration For Domain Name subdomain.example.in:

root@vps123:~# sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/subdomain.example.in

server {

    listen 80;

    server_name subdomain.example.in;

    location / {

        proxy_pass http://localhost:8080;

        proxy_set_header Host $host;

        proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;

        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;

        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme;

    }

    location ~* ^/(index\.html|index\.htm|default\.html|default\.htm) {

        return 403;

    }

}

Note:  Make sure to restart Nginx after making any changes to its configuration

sudo nginx -t

sudo systemctl restart nginx

Tomcat configuration for domain & subdomain:

root@vps123:~# nano /opt/tomcat/conf/server.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
